Jon and Martin unleashed the fears onto a new world. Because Tova is not the only person in the world who matters. Just because Tova got what she wanted didn’t mean it was a happy ending. Tova McHugh’s story (MAG 155) ends with her living a wealthy life as long as she wishes at the expense of others, and deciding that’s okay.Įveryone who listened to Tova McHugh’s story got that this was an awful, wretched thing. I mean “they know the fears are there but choose to ignore them and let other people suffer for their own comfort” would be a fun ending, 😌, but a very wretchedly twistedly tragic one to be sure ♥ and the fact that they wouldn’t get to just rest– that they would have to face the fears again– adds to the tragedy of their story. and knowing them, if the fears followed them to wherever they went, they won’t want to just leave it be (especially jon). #i agree #and it kind of contributes to the tragedy I think they would try to do something to help people about the Fears. I reckon if Martin and John made it to another universe, somewhere else, carried along with the Fears, they wouldn’t just try to have a normal life.
